UEFA’s official Europa League account has acknowledged Celtic’s demolition of Hearts, posting a photograph of Benjamin Nygren alongside seven football emojis.
The Swedish midfielder scored twice as the Hoops swept last season’s runners-up aside in a 7-1 victory at Celtic Park on Sunday.
It was a welcome return to form, with Celtic showing the attacking purpose and clinical finishing supporters have been looking for.

Defeats to Ferencvaros and Benfica have left Celtic on zero points, with seven goals conceded across those opening two matches.
That makes Thursday a significant test of whether Sunday can become a turning point.
The performance against Hearts gave O’Neill plenty to build on. Celtic moved the ball quickly and made their chances count, taking control early and refusing to let the visitors recover.
Celta will present a different challenge, but the Hoops should approach the game with greater confidence after that display.
Nygren’s contribution will be important again. His ability to arrive in scoring positions gives Celtic another threat beyond their forwards, as Hearts discovered twice on Sunday.
UEFA’s post recognised an impressive domestic afternoon. Celtic now need a European result worth celebrating. A repeat of Sunday’s attacking intent would be a good place to start.
