West Feliciana running back Joshua Dorsey ran for 185 yards and one touchdown on 18 carries but it was not enough as the Saints fell to University High in a key District 7-3A matchup Friday in Baton Rouge.

Quarterback Brooks Hebert completed 11 of 24 passes for 92 yards with one interception and ran for one touchdown for the Saints, 7-1, 2-1 District 7-3A. University High leads the district at 2-0.

West Feliciana gained 337 yards on the ground.

“It was a great game environment,” West Feliciana coach Terry Minor said. “Both teams played a great game; back and forth all night.

“The theme of the night were big plays from both teams but U-High’s big play passing game at the end was the difference.”
