This week the Las Vegas Raiders are calling up a couple of defensive linemen from the practice squad as they prepare to face the New York Jets. They elevated DT Tim Keenan and DE Cian Sloan.
Keenan is a nose tackle who was elevated last week for the first time as the Raiders hoped to slow down the Rams running attack. It didn't work. The Raiders gave up nearly 100 yards to each of their running back tandem of Kyren Williams and Blake Corum.
The Alabama alum was originally drafted in the 7th round of this year's NFL Draft by the LA Rams, but waived with the final roster cuts. He saw 19 snaps in a reserve role against the team that drafted him.
Cian Sloan is an undrafted rookie out of Utah State. He had a standout camp for the team and has been elevated the past two weeks, but has yet to be active on game day. With reserve DE Patrick Johnson placed on injured reserve, could Sloan see his first game action?
