Lawrence had opened the scoring just before the hour mark but two late goals by the hosts turned the game on its head.

Substitute – and former Scotland international – Ryan Fraser equalised in the 86th minute, before Macarthur were given a contorversial penalty in the 89th.

Jonathan Aspropatamitis stepped up and converted to give his side three points.

In an explosive post-match interview, Lawrence slammed the late call.

He said: "We've been robbed by a horrendous decision at the end of the day. I don't know how that can be given [as] a penalty.

"You ask the ref at the end to explain it and you can't even get an explanation out of it. It just makes a mockery out of the league, really."

Lawrence joined Perth in October last year, having departed Rangers at the end of the 2024/25 campaign.

The Welshman made 69 appearances in three years at Ibrox , scoring 12 goals and providing seven assists.
