The Boston Bruins’ point streak ended after eight games.
The Bruins fell 2-1 to the defending Stanley Cup champion Carolina Hurricanes last night, suffering their first regulation loss since the beginning of the month. The offense struggled to generate much, finishing with 15 shots on goal, but there were still some positives to take away from the loss. The Bruins have the day off today before returning to action tomorrow in St. Louis.
Mockups of the Hometown Remix jerseys surfaced on social media yesterday, including the Bruins’ brown, college-inspired sweater.
Elsewhere around the league, the Connor Hellebuyck era is underway in New Jersey. Jacob Fowler was perfect last night in St. Louis, Matthew Schaefer made NHL history, and the Flyers almost pulled off a three-goal comeback against the Blue Jackets. There is also an update on Artturi Lehkonen’s contract negotiations and an update on Brenden Dillon addressing reports about using his no-trade clause.
Happy Wednesday, catch up on Bruins and league news in today’s Daily Bean:
Taylor Hall did not play and was listed as day-to-day.
