The Panthers placed cornerback Akayleb Evans on injured reserve, the team announced.

They had already ruled him out for tonight with knee and triceps injuries.

Evans started the past three games after the Panthers placed cornerbacks Jaycee Horn and Mike Jackson on injured reserve. Evans will now miss at least the next four games.

The Panthers’ four cornerbacks for tonight are Will Lee, Chau Smith-Wade, Malcolm DeWalt and Marco Wilson.

The team announced they signed DeWalt to the 53-player roster on Thursday. He signed to the practice squad last week and arrived Sunday.

He was a healthy scratch in all six games on the Falcons’ active roster this season.

The Panthers elevated Wilson and guard Jake Curhan from the practice squad to the game-day roster.

Wilson was the most experienced of the six corners on the practice squad this week, with 64 appearances and 37 starts, mostly with Arizona. The former Florida product has also spent time with the Patriots, Bengals and Dolphins before signing to the Panthers’ practice squad earlier this month.

Curhan played 13 games for the Panthers last year, with one start in the regular season against the Rams. Against Green Bay last year, he subbed into the game and played both guard spots in the same game.

He joins Damien Lewis and Torricelli Simpkins III at the position for tonight against the Packers.
