Luis Palma scored a late winner for Lech Poznan against Legia Warsaw on Monday and celebrated just as you’d expect.
The ex-Celtic winger made his loan move to Poland permanent over the summer and has continued his form with Lech, who sit at the top of the Ekstraklasa after eleven games.
Last week, Palma’s side secured a respectable 1-1 draw at home to Premier League side Sunderland, and faced a title rival in Monday’s showpiece match.
Palma scored a few late winners in his Parkhead career, and added another to his catalogue with the goal to take his side back to the summit at the expense of Paulo Bernardo’s Gornik Zabrze.
Via Canal-Plus, Palma can be seen popping up at the back post to secure Lech’s win before wheeling away nonchalantly, stopping and pulling a pose reminiscent of Lautaro Martinez after his World Cup goal against England over the summer.
It’s a third goal of the season for Palma, who became Lech’s new record transfer when his move was made permanent in June.
U Warszawiaków z Żyrardowa ale dziś są wylewy, na lepszy sen wielki Honduranin Luis Palma 👑.

He said upon his Hoops exit being confirmed: “Today, I say goodbye to a club that marked a very special chapter in my life. Since I was a child, I dreamed of playing in stadiums like Celtic Park, experiencing unforgettable European nights, and representing an institution as great as Celtic F.C.
“By the grace of God, that dream became a reality. I would like to sincerely thank everyone who made my journey at this club possible: the board, coaches, teammates, technical staff, and every person who works behind the scenes.
“Thank you for your trust, support, and for helping me grow both as a player and as a person. I leave with unforgettable memories and friendships that I will cherish for the rest of my life.
“To the fans, thank you from the bottom of my heart. From day one, I felt your love and unwavering support. I will always be one of you.”
Celtic paid £3.5 million to take Palma from Aris Thessaloniki in Brendan Rodgers’ first summer transfer window. Essentially the Jota replacement, he ended his first season with double digits in goals, but in 12 appearances in the following campaign, he ended up with none.
It was quite the surprise when then-Conference league holders Olympiacos took him on loan last January, but he finally seems to have a home in Poland.
