Football icon Chris Waddle is utterly convinced that the former Newcastle boss will be sought by suitors far and wide after his revered five years in the Toon.
The move to Newcastle came months after the Englishman walked away from protracted talks to become Celtic's next boss.
Howe has been strongly linked with several vacancies since leaving St James’ Park and former England winger Waddle reckons the highly-rated coach is in an enviable position.
The ex-Tottenham and Marseille star believes Howe's achievements at Newcastle have enhanced his reputation across the game and made him one of the most sought-after managers on the market.
Waddle insists the 48-year-old will not rush into his next role and feels a spell away from the spotlight could prove beneficial after the intense demands of managing at the highest level.
But he also reckons any club looking for a quick fix could soon come calling.
Waddle, speaking to talkSPORT Bet, who offer the latest sports betting, said: "Eddie Howe did a great job at Newcastle, let's be honest. That puts him in a good position while sitting on the fence waiting for the right job to come along. It's a matter of who presses the panic button first.
"He will be heavily linked because of what he achieved at Newcastle, and rightly so. He plays a nice brand of football, so a lot of teams will be looking at him and thinking about when to make that move. He won't be short of offers.
"He's probably enjoying a nice break at the minute, but after a few weeks, he's probably thinking he's ready to get back into it. It just depends on who presses the panic button first in the Premier League."
