Nashville SC ties MLS points record with dramatic win vs. Red Bull New York

Nashville SC has laid claim to a pair of MLS records after a remarkable 3-2 comeback win over Red Bull New York at Geodis Park on Nov. 1.

Having trailed by two goals in the first half, Sam Surridge’s headed finish in the 91st minute capped off a dramatic three-goal comeback that secured Nashville SC the MLS record for home wins in a season at 15, while also equaling the league’s all-time points record of 74, set by Inter Miami in 2024.

Nashville SC forced a pair of New York own goals in the 45th and 78th minutes, setting up Surridge’s late winner, which sent the crowd at Geodis Park into a frenzy. With the victory, Nashville closes the regular season unbeaten at home for the second time in club history.

Following the match, Nashville SC lifted the MLS Supporters’ Shield trophy in front of its fans. NSC closes the season on the road against FC Cincinnati on Saturday, Nov. 7.
