Tadhg Furlong has avoided a lengthy ban and will be able to play for Ireland next month after a citing complaint for an alleged “groin grab” on Munster’s Gavin Coombes was dismissed this evening.

After a hearing that began at 10.15 this morning, the decision was released shortly after 9.30pm.

Furlong had been cited under Law 9.27 – ‘A player must not do anything that is against the spirit of good sportsmanship, including but not limited to grabbing, twisting or squeezing the genitals.’
