2027 NFL Draft: Saints' pick takes a steep fall after beating Giants

Where do the New Orleans Saints pick in the 2027 NFL Draft after beating the New York Giants? Here's an updated draft order and look at team needs.

Where are the New Orleans Saints picking in the 2027 NFL Draft after beating the New York Giants? They improved to 2-4 on the year so far after surviving a fourth-quarter rally at MetLife Stadium, which dropped the Saints out of the top ten altogether. Last week they were projected to pick sixth overall. Now, the experts at Tankathon have New Orleans slotted at No. 12. Heere's a look at the top of the board:

Los Angeles Chargers (0-6)
Washington Commandeers (1-3-1, pending Monday Night Football vs. San Francisco 49ers)
Dallas Cowboys (2-4)
New York Jets (via 2-4 Indianapolis Colts)
Cleveland Browns (via 2-4 Los Angeles Rams)

As to where the Saints should be looking to improve in next year's draft? If this position holds, they'll be hoping a top-10 prospect like South Carolina edge rusher Dylan Stewart falls to them, or else target one of best available defensive backs. Ellis Robinson IV (Georgia) and Ashton Hampton (Clemson) are two cornerbacks off to a hot start this season. After investing so many resources into their offense, the Saints should make their defense a priority in 2027.
