Teddy Son Teddy “Maverick” Son has been a writer for Bavarian Football Works since 2019. He has followed Bayern Munich since 2013, and the Germany national team since 2014. He brings his experience as a journalist from New York University to BFW and offers perspectives on both normal and exotic topics, whether they be transfer news, player reports, football shirts, or preseason tours. As a South Korean native, he has experienced two of the latter in person. Since 2025, he has also started actively following the women’s teams of Bayern and Germany, and has been providing coverage there as well.
Bayern Munich’s attack has looked a bit stunted at times this season, especially compared to the goals that came every game last season. However, Bayern proved that when it works, it works. Klara Bühl and Pernille Harder both got goals and assists, with Harder netting two goals. The rest of the attacking line—Linda Dallmann and Edna Imade—also scored. Even Momoko Tanikawa, who was playing in a deeper role than she normally does due to Bayern’s lack of cover in central midfield, contributed an assist. Bayern fans will be hoping that the team can keep the barrage up as they go deeper into the season and face bigger and better opponents.
Speaking of Linda Dallmann, the German international is playing some of her best football nowadays. She had already come back from the national team with a goal and an assist, and she hit the ground running withher club as well. Bayern’s No. 10 opened the scoring against Stuttgart with a well-taken header, despite being the shortest player on the squad. Not only that, but she ran tirelessly as per usual, pulling the strings inattack and sometimes deeper in midfield. Dallmann may be on the wrong side of 30, but she is showing no signs of slowing down. If anything, she is speeding right up.
Last season, Edna Imade was the ultimate super-sub, coming on and scoring whenever needed. This season, with four goals in the Bundesliga already, her numbers are not too shabby. However, she has also become more prone to missing chances that she really should convert, including against Stuttgart. With Pernille Harder getting on in age and Jovana Damnjanović also declining (not to mention injured), Imade must step up, because Bayern cannot afford to have a misfiring striker if they want to go far in all competitions.
