The teams, all based in Halton, were recognised for their teamwork, dedication and community spirit in the annual contest, which rewards clubs with new kit worth up to £1,000.

This year’s winners are West Bank Bears Rugby Under-10s, Weston Point Warriors JFC Under-12s, Brookvale Inclusive for All, Runcorn Comets Morris Dancers and Weston Point Pandas JFC Under-12s.

Helen Williams, marketing manager at Merseyflow, said: "We are delighted to continue investing in young people across Halton through our Team Spirit competition.

"Every year, local junior sports clubs impress us with their energy, commitment and team spirit, and the standard of this year’s entries was exceptional.

"We understand that many junior teams depend on fundraising and donations to pay for essential kit and equipment.

"It is a pleasure to help these clubs and celebrate the vital role they play in enabling young people to be active, grow in confidence and learn important life skills through sport."

The competition, now in its fifth year, is open to teams up to under-14 level from Halton and encourages participation in sport and physical activity.

Entries came from a range of sports, including football, netball and Morris dancing, with each winner receiving a new kit to support their ongoing development and participation.

The scheme aims to promote positive experiences and lifelong skills through community sport.
