The lifelong Everton supporter made this admission while chatting with Scottish Labour staff during a visit to Glasgow.

He disclosed that his son, Jimmy, is marrying into a Hibs-supporting family and has been visiting Easter Road frequently.

This included attending Hibs' recent clash with Celtic. Burnham said: "My son is marrying into a Hibs family so he was up for Hibs-Celtic last week.

"He’s trying to get me on this. I’m more Celtic. He’s got me leaning Hibs a bit."

Burnham, a former Everton season ticket holder, has three children: Jimmy, Rosie, and Anne-Marie.
