Harry Kane and Bayern Munich have reached a verbal agreement over a new deal - even if it does fall 12 months short of the striker's desired contract length.
The England frontman has been a massive hit since moving to the Allianz Arena in 2023, breaking numerous records en route to claiming multiple pieces of silverware. His exploits have him among the favourites to win the Ballon d'Or later this year.
Kane and Bayern have been keen to extend terms given the success he's enjoyed and a deal worth a mammoth £400,000-a-week has been verbally agreed with the ex-Tottenham man poised to remain at the Allianz Arena until 2029.
The 33-year-old had been looking for a contract that ran until 2030, but the German giants stuck by their stance of a two-year extension having been in talks with Kane since he returned from the World Cup, reports The Times.

Bayern's plan is to finalise the contract extension before the Ballon d’Or ceremony on October 26 and Max Eberl, the club's director of sport, recently said: “There are talks behind the scenes and they have gone well."
Kane's current deal expires at the end of the season, which would allow him to leave for a free, but there has never been any noise around the striker wanting to seek pastures new.
Off the pitch Kane and his family are known to be loving life in Germany, which has furthered their desire to remain with the Bavarians. On the pitch the striker has been prolific and in September he scored his 100th Bundesliga goal in his 98th Bundesliga outfit - breaking a record dating back to 1977.

Since moving to Bayern Kane has won two Bundesliga titles - the first of those being the first major trophy of his career. He's also landed last season's German Cup and the German Super Cup in the last two years.
Last term Kane scored a staggering 61 goals in 51 games - the highest single season total of his career - as he continued to underline his status as Europe's elite No 9.
Choosing to stay in Germany makes it more unlikely that Kane will break the all-time Premier League goalscoring, which is currently held by Alan Shearer. When Kane left with 213 goals to his name - 37 shy of Shearer's record. Come the end of the 2028/29 season Kane will be about to turn 36.
