Several teams have already emerged as potential suitors for Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor if he is traded in the coming weeks.

Following the firing of GM Chris Ballard earlier in the week, Schefter and Rapoport took a look at where things stand for the Colts. This included exploring Taylor's status with the team.

"The Green Bay Packers, Seattle Seahawks, Minnesota Vikings, and Denver Broncos are among the teams that have, or are expected, to ponder the possibility of a trade for the star running back, according to sources," Schefter and Rapoport wrote.

The Colts still aren't at the point to say that they are shopping Taylor or any other player. As Schefter and Rapoport detailed, the sense is that the Colts want to see how the next few weeks go. Although at 2-4 on the season, Indianapolis does want to see if they can turn things around.

However, if they are unable to salvage the season against the 5-0 Vikings and the 4-2 Jaguars, they could then look to the future and begin trading veteran players away. Along with Taylor, Schefter and Rapoport mentioned four others who could be dealt.

While the Colts signed Taylor to a two-year, $44 million extension in the offseason, the recency of the new deal won't preclude Indianapolis from moving the running back. The structure of the deal does make it tradeable, as ESPN's Dan Graziano highlighted.
