Stephen A. Smith has praised Amon-Ra St. Brown for his impact on and off the field, sending a clear message to Detroit Lions fans about the wide receiver’s importance to the franchise.

The Lions are coming off a dramatic victory over the Green Bay Packers, improving their record to 4-2 after six games. They now face another major test against their undefeated divisional rivals, the Minnesota Vikings.

St. Brown recently sat down with Smith to discuss Detroit’s championship ambitions, head coach Dan Campbell and the work of his St. Brown Foundation.

“MUCH RESPECT to Amon-Ra St. Brown! The Detroit Lions wide receiver is making BIG plays on the field and an even BIGGER IMPACT off it! We discussed his St. Brown Foundation, the future of the Detroit Lions, and what fans should EXPECT moving forward!”

The interview also touched on Detroit’s Super Bowl ambitions and Campbell’s aggressive approach to fourth-down decisions.

St. Brown backed his head coach, explaining that the team had adapted well following the departures of offensive coordinator Ben Johnson and defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn.

“I think we’ve adapted really well. He’s done a great job of adapting as a head coach. I don’t think Dan has ever changed since I’ve been here as a rookie. He’s been the same guy,” St. Brown said.

He added that Campbell had remained consistent throughout their time together in Detroit.

That relationship will be important as the Lions look to build on their strong start and compete for a championship.

However, Detroit also has an immediate concern surrounding St. Brown’s fitness after he suffered an ankle injury during the win over Green Bay.

Campbell offered an encouraging update, confirming that St. Brown and defensive back Ennis Rakestraw would be held out of practice.

“Saint’s (Amon-Ra St. Brown) doing good. Ennis is doing good. Going to hold them out of practice,” Campbell said.

The Lions will hope their star receiver is ready for the Vikings clash, with his availability potentially playing a significant role in their attempt to extend their winning run.
