Bouyea contributed eight assists, while rookie Koa Peat finished with 10 points and four rebounds. Phoenix played without several regulars, including Devin Booker, and struggled to keep pace with San Antonio after allowing 38 points in the second quarter.

Utah comes into Friday's matchup following a 119-109 victory over the San Antonio Spurs on Monday. Rookie Darryn Peterson led the Jazz with 14 points, while Jaren Jackson Jr. added 13 points in 18 minutes. Utah built a 99-78 advantage through three quarters before holding off a late San Antonio rally. The Jazz have won two of their first three preseason contests, with Peterson, Keyonte George and Lauri Markkanen highlighting a promising young roster preparing for the regular season.
