SOMERSET all-rounder Niamh Holland has been named in both the England A T20 and 50 over squads for the upcoming tour to India this winter.

The right-handed batter and right-arm medium pace bowler, who celebrates her 21st birthday shortly, hails from Langport and attended Wellington School.

Niamh grew up playing through the Somerset age group teams and aged 13 played for the county Under 17s. She made her full Somerset debut aged 19 and was part of the side that won the T20 Division Two title.

Niamh made her Western Storm debut in 2020 and went on to feature in a total of 49 matches for the team across the two formats, scoring over 400 runs and taking 12 wickets. She also represented England at the Under 19 World Cup in 2022.

She was also a member of the Somerset team that lifted the County T20 title under lights at the Cooper Associates County Ground in 2023.

In 2025 Niamh captained Somerset on four occasions in the Blast, leading the team to victory over Essex at the Cooper Associates County Ground.

Niamh enjoyed a successful season in 2026, scoring 265 runs at an average of 26.5 and claiming 12 wickets at a cost of 20.58, with a best of 4 for 21 in her 12 T20 matches.

In the Metro Bank One Day Cup in 2026 the all rounder scored 460 runs at an average of 32.86, including one century and three 50s and took six wickets. She was made joint vice-captain sharing the duties with Ben Odgers.

The all-rounder has signed a contract extension that will see her remain with the club until at least the end of the 2029 season.

The three-match T20 series gets underway in Pune on November 30, followed by the three 50 over games that start on December 8 in Mumbai.
