Richard Hammond made the admission during his ABR (Adventure Bike Rider) Festival debut in June, where he addressed an audience of thousands of motorcycle fans.
Best known for his work with cars on Top Gear and The Grand Tour, Mr Hammond surprised the crowd by declaring his lifelong love of motorbikes.
He said: "Truth be told, I’m bikes before cars."
Mr Hammond described himself as a dedicated biker, not just a casual rider, and shared stories of his global adventures on two wheels.
He spoke about the motorcycle that sparked his long-running passion and recounted a memorable trip with his brother to ride the highest road on Earth.
Mr Hammond also joked about how a bit of outdoor ironing once turned him into an unlikely tourist attraction.
