Although Phil Parkinson's side had 23 attempts on goal, only one was on target and Rovers won the Championship clash thanks to Andri Gudjohnsen's brace.

Here's how the players rated.

ANTHONY PATTERSON: Could have done better for the first goal but made a couple of decent saves in the second half. 6

DOMINIC HYAM: Wrexham weren’t awful defensively but Blackburn were more ruthless. 6

JOE WORRALL: Had a good chance in the second half to equalise but he put his shot wide. 6

CALLUM DOYLE: The best of the defenders and ensured it wasn’t more than a 2-0 defeat. 7

ISS KABORE: Got forward down the right and threatened with some decent crosses. 7

BEN WHITEMAN: It was tough going for Wrexham who fashioned half chances but needed to be more creative. 6

MATTY JAMES: Showed nous with the ball in difficult conditions, although Blackburn were more clinical. 6

JACQUES EKOMIE: Made some decent runs down the left but Wrexham didn’t trouble Blackburn enough. 6

CALLUM O’HARE: Huffed and puffed behind the front two but Wrexham lacked a cutting edge. 6

SAM SMITH: Two in attack worked against Preston but Wrexham weren’t as effective at Blackburn. 6

KIEFFER MOORE: Couldn’t fault his effort and had a couple of half chances. 6

SUBSTITUTES:

BEN SHEAF: Making comeback from injury was a positive on a tough day. 5

GEORGE DOBSON: The changes didn’t really make a difference. 5

DANNY IMRAY: Took over down the right from Kabore. 5

RYAN LONGMAN: Got his chance with Ekomie tiring. 5
