Man United invite fans to fill survey on new stadium

Manchester United are inviting fans to provide fresh input on the design of their proposed new 100,000-capacity stadium.

The Premier League club announced in March 2025 plans to replace Old Trafford with a new £2 billion ($2.7bn) home that co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe said would be the "world's greatest" football ground.

Tens of thousands of United fans have shared their views on the future of Old Trafford and regeneration of the surrounding area, with the club now launching a new survey on the design of a new ground.

The survey will cover how to create a "world-class football stadium and match-day experience for all fans" and how best to encompass the club's heritage and legacy, as well as looking at the atmosphere, wider campus and transport options.

Collette Roche, who moved from her role as United's chief operating officer to become chief executive of the new stadium development in January, said: "Our proposed new stadium is one of the most significant projects Manchester United will undertake in the next 100 years, and it is vital that we shape it together with our fans.

"Above all else, this is a football stadium built for them, so getting the details right matters.

"That's why we are committed to thorough and transparent engagement, ensuring supporters help inform key decisions on atmosphere, affordability, accessibility and the traditions that have made Old Trafford so special for so long.

"Our engagement with supporters since 2024 has shown there is genuine excitement about the prospect of a new stadium, but we also recognise that some fans will have important questions and concerns.

"Listening to those views and ensuring they are shaping the design is a vital part of the process.

"By working together, we can create a world-class football stadium that supports success on the pitch, reflects the identity of Manchester United, and gives fans a home they can be proud of for generations to come."

United fans have until 12pm on Friday Nov. 6 to complete the survey, which will be sent to season ticket and cup season ticket holders, official members and executive club members.

Those on the season ticket waiting list and supporters that have bought hospitality at Old Trafford within the last three years will also have it distributed to them.

United are currently on a seven-match winless run with manager Michael Carrick under intense scrutiny heading into Sunday's Premier League match against Bournemouth.
