Lone’er Kavanagh may have stolen the show earlier today (Sat., Oct. 24, 2026) at UFC 333 LIVE on Paramount+ from inside Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, after the flyweight contender laid waste to hulking finisher Ramazan Temirov with a first-round TKO (punches).

Kavanagh, who was coming off a loss his last time out, needed to earn Temirov’s respect early and often. That’s because Temirov has proven to be a human wrecking ball who typically throws caution to the wind and uncorks heavy knockout punches. If Kavanagh didn’t get Temirov’s attention early on it was going to be tough for him to find momentum in the fight.

Not only did Kavanagh end up earning Temirov’s respect, but he beat him at his own game. A massive uppercut inside by Kavanagh badly hurt Temirov late into the first. This allowed Kavanagh the chance to unload punches in bunches as Temirov was lit up like a Christmas tree. He eventually fell to the canvas where the referee finally stepped in.
