Ravens QB Lamar Jackson to IR, won't play vs. Jaguars

It's a quick turnaround for the Jacksonville Jaguars, who now face the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday night football.

However, the Ravens are going to be without quarterback Lamar Jackson.

Jackson exited Sunday's Week 8 matchup against the Buffalo Bills with a thumb injury. Afterward, Ravens' head coach Jesse Minter said that Jackson's injury will require surgery, forcing him to miss a minimum of four games.

This season, Jackson has completed 70% of his passes for 967 yards with six touchdowns to one interception. He's also rushed for 144 yards and another score.

Baltimore's backup quarterback, Tyler Huntley, also exited Sunday's game with a toe injury.

Taking over was UDFA and third-string quarterback Joe Fagnano, who completed 10-of-21 passes for 91 yards with an interception.

The Jaguars will enter this game at 5-2, while the Ravens are 4-4.
