Scott Sinclair on Celtic dominance and ‘strong Rangers’ quip

The former Celtic winger was part of one of the most dominant periods in the club’s history, winning trophies regularly during a hugely successful spell in Glasgow.

But Sinclair believes the landscape has changed, with Rangers posing a greater challenge and other clubs showing they are capable of putting pressure on Celtic.

Sinclair said: “A strong Rangers makes the league more exciting. The league is improving, and other teams are also playing well and chasing Celtic at the top, as we saw last season.” [Andy's Bet Club]

Sinclair knows all about sustained domestic dominance after joining Celtic in 2016 and playing a major role during an era in which the club swept up trophy after trophy.

And he reckons the increased competitiveness of the Premiership underlines just how difficult Celtic’s achievements during that period were.

He added: “It’s very different now compared to when I was playing and we were dominating and winning treble trebles.

“It just goes to show how hard that was to do.”
