Amad And Matheus Cunha To Start; Marcus Rashford Out: Man Utd Predicted Lineup Vs Leeds
Amad And Matheus Cunha To Start; Marcus Rashford Out: Man Utd Predicted Lineup Vs Leeds

Man Utd boss Michael Carrick will know another defeat this weekend could cost him his job.

There are already rumours that the club are drawing up a shortlist of replacements, so a win or (at the very least) a draw against Leeds is vital.

The fact that it is a big derby against a rival who hasn’t lost at home so far this season means this will not be a walk in the park.

Press the next page as we share our Man Utd predicted lineup to take on Leeds United at Elland Road on Sunday afternoon…

Goalkeeper and Defence

Leny Yoro

GK – Senne Lammens – the Belgian’s form this season hasn’t really done Carrick any favours.

RB – Leny Yoro – Harry Maguire’s return to the starting lineup may lead to the Frenchman moving over to right-back once again.

CB – Harry Maguire – the 33-year-old was rested for the defeat to Atletico Madrid midweek, and he is expected to be recalled for the weekend.

CB – Lisandro Martinez – despite his public outburst, Carrick is likely to keep the Argentinian international in the eleven.

LB – Diogo Dalot – if Luke Shaw and Noussair Mazraoui remain unavailable, the Portuguese defender could provide cover, with Ayden Heaven dropping to the bench.

Midfield

Youri Tielemans

CM – Youri Tielemans – the Belgian put in an improved performance on Tuesday in a more advanced position.

However, Carrick may well switch him to a deeper-lying role against Leeds to accommodate others.

CM – Carlos Baleba – the midfielder’s mobility and dynamism will be needed in what will be an intense atmosphere at Elland Road.

AM – Bruno Fernandes – the captain has not been himself recently, and there are suspicions that he is still carrying an injury.

Forwards

Matheus Cunha

RW – Amad – after being benched against Atletico, the Ivorian may well get his place back this weekend.

CF – Bryan Mbeumo – the Cameroon international looked sharp midweek, but his finishing let him down.

Mbeumo will hope to be more clinical if he is presented with a scoring opportunity on Sunday.

LW – Matheus Cunha – Carrick may well reinstate the Brazilian to the eleven at the expense of Marcus Rashford.
