Cristian Chivu has urged his Inter side to "be ready to bring home the result" ahead of their Champions League meetings with Shakhtar Donetsk.
Inter has struggled in the competition this season, losing to Real Madrid and Club Brugge in their opening two league-phase games.
They are currently on their longest-ever losing streak in the European Cup/Champions League (four matches).
Inter have also lost seven of their last eight (W1), which is more than they did in their previous 41 in the competition combined (six).
"We are aware of the defeats in the Champions League; there's no need to keep reminding us," said Chivu.
"We lost two matches; we want to rediscover the energy that goes hand in hand with our ambitions.
"There's too much talk of the past and what we didn't do. We need to think about Shakhtar and be ready to bring home the result."

Including qualifiers, Inter are unbeaten in their seven games against Shakhtar (W3 D4), while keeping six clean sheets (only one goal conceded).
Of fixtures played at least three times in the European Cup/Champions League, none have a lower goals-per-game ratio than matches played between Inter and Shakhtar (0.5 – two goals in four games, both scored by Inter).
However, Shakhtar remain unbeaten in the Champions League so far this season (W1 D1) – only twice in their previous 19 appearances in the competition have they avoided defeat in each of their first three games, doing so in 2012-13 and 2014-15.
"Shakhtar are strong, they play in the Champions League, and those who play in the Champions League are evolved and have quality," added Chivu.
"They have quality, legs, intensity. The coach positions them well on the pitch; they have intensity with the ball and without the ball and a precise identity.
"We must be ourselves; we must be the team with a certain self-esteem, knowing that the past counts for little at this moment. What matters is today to prepare for Wednesday."
