PFF ranks Michigan State's top five offensive players vs. Northwestern

Michigan State football suffered another heartbreaking loss on Saturday afternoon, losing 24-21 to Northwestern in another matchup that came down to the final seconds.

It was a game where the Spartans offense had some ups and downs, including several three and outs, but several explosives. The team finished with 305 yards on the day, averaging 5.4 yards per play.

After looking at the film, and evaluating the game, Pro Football Focus (Subscription Required) gave out their grades for the Spartans in the game. See who they had as the Spartans top five offensive players:

  • WR Bryson Williams - 74.0

  • C Trent Fraley - 71.8

  • TE Jayden Savoury - 70.7

  • LG Conner Moore - 68.7

  • RB Marvis Parrish - 66.4

This was the Williams break out game, showing why he should be given a more prominent role in this offense going forward. The Spartans also got strong offensive line play from the interior, while Savoury continues to shine at tight end.
