Michael Carrick is looking increasingly likely to leave Manchester United.
If Wednesday night's dreadful 4-1 defeat away to Como isn't the final straw, Bournemouth on Sunday could be. Defeat to the Cherries would represent another disaster, surely one that Sir Jim Ratcliffe can't allow. Carrick, having guided them to third in the Premier League table last season, is now in charge of a team in freefall.
They played just once a week. Their rivals stuttered. Carrick did the sensible thing, playing 4-2-3-1, which fans craved after Ruben Amorim's 3-4-3 system. Kobbie Mainoo, sidelined under Amorim, was brought back in.
Yet look at them now. United have won just two of their 11 matches so far this season. They are winless in seven. Their performances are so flat, and so insipid, it's hard to see things changing any time soon.
GB News will now take a look back over the past 13 years and explain why every managerial appointment has been wrong - and who they should have gone for instead.
