King’s Lynn prove too strong for Folkestone in Premier League clash

Lynn Roller Hockey Club continued their unbeaten start to the Premier League season with an impressive 5-2 away victory over Invicta at the Bay Sports Arena, making it three wins from three for the reigning champions.

Lynn made a flying start, taking the lead after just 15 seconds through Owen Norris, immediately putting the hosts on the back foot.

The visitors continued to control proceedings, with Jack Tucker doubling their advantage after 13 minutes.

Despite a series of fouls and stoppages disrupting the rhythm of the game, Lynn remained composed.

Josh Taylor added a third goal with just 35 seconds remaining in the opening half, sending the champions into the break with a commanding 3-0 advantage.

Invicta looked to respond after the restart, but Lynn continued to frustrate the hosts with a disciplined performance.

Tucker struck again in the 15th minute of the second half to extend Lynn’s lead to 4-0, completing his brace and putting the visitors firmly in control.

However, Invicta refused to surrender and pulled a goal back just 15 seconds later, giving the home side renewed hope.

Any thoughts of a comeback were quickly dampened when Norris grabbed his second goal of the evening in the 19th minute, restoring Lynn’s four-goal cushion.

Thomas Mills added a late consolation for Invicta, but it proved too little, too late as Lynn comfortably secured all three points.

The result sees Lynn move to the top of the Premier League table, maintaining their perfect record as they look to defend their title.

The champions will be hoping to carry their impressive early-season momentum into the coming weeks.
