Fabio Wardley Still Has Plenty Of Paydays Available

Fabio Wardley can still bag massive paydays below elite title level. Calls for him to hang up the gloves after getting stopped by Daniel Dubois completely miss that reality. Falling short against Dubois does not strip him of his ability to top domestic bills.

Derek Chisora wrote the playbook here. Chisora never had to conquer top-tier heavyweights to fill arenas or generate huge paychecks. British fans recognize him, know the entertainment they are paying for, and show up. Wardley can mirror that blueprint without wasting years fruitlessly chasing a rematch with Dubois.

Domestic dust-ups against Dave Allen, Johnny Fisher, or Chisora himself offer immediate box-office appeal. Efe Ajagba or Tony Yoka provide solid international flavor. None of those are walkovers, but none require beating a pound-for-pound monster to pack out a venue.

The draw remains unchanged. Fans know Wardley hits like a truck, and they know he can get hurt in return. Put Wardley in the ring with Fisher, and nobody cares if a world belt is on the line; they are tuning in because someone is going to sleep.

That leaves Queensberry holding plenty of cards. A routine bounce-back victory followed by a massive domestic main event puts him right back in the money without pretending he solved the Dubois riddle.

Down the line, reaching the end of his Queensberry deal might even open up a fresh bidding war. Zuffa could easily see value in an action-heavy British brawler. While nothing is on the table right now, it highlights how many avenues exist beyond this single loss.

Wardley’s physical condition must always come first. From a purely business perspective, the path is clear. Chisora proved you can remain a massive ticket seller without beating the division’s champions.

Wardley does not need another belt around his waist to get paid. Pick the right matchups, and he can laugh all the way to the bank for years to come.
