The Arizona Cardinals beat the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday 18-16 on the road, which was a breath of fresh air for Cardinals fans. Surely, they saw a bump in the latest NFL power rankings, right?

In USA TODAY's Week 7 NFL power rankings by Nate Davis, they jumped six spots. After their loss to the Detroit Lions made them fall all the way to No. 29, they moved on up to No. 23.

The wildest stat of a still-young NFL season? The Cards have more wins (2) at SoFi Stadium than the Chargers and Rams … combined.

It is true. The Cardinals have two wins at SoFi Stadium and none anywhere else. And while we got excited about their win over the Chargers in Week 1, that win doesn't look nearly so great considering the Chargers still haven't won a game.

Will we end up saying the same thing about the Rams, who are now 2-4 and appear to be teetering on disaster for a season in which they were Super Bowl favorites.

The offense went 0-for-5 in the red zone, but six field goals were enough because the defense played its best game of the season, making stops from start to finish.

The question is whether they can do that in multiple weeks.

They will face the Denver Broncos at home in Week 7, a team ranked fifth in these power rankings.

Week 7 power rankings and the NFC West

We saw some changes.

The San Francisco 49ers remained No. 1.

The Seattle Seahawks, after their loss to the Broncos on Thursday, fell from No. 3 to No. 6.

The Rams tumbled from No. 8 to No. 13 (even though they are now a last-place team in their division).
