Special teams coordinator Dave Toub continued to defend embattled Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker ahead of the team's Week 9 matchup against the New York Jets.

Even after the Chiefs' signing of five-time All-Pro boot Justin Tucker in October, Butker has controversially remained Kansas City's starting kicker despite a recent spate of misses that have contributed to the team's two-game losing streak in Weeks 7 and 8.

Toub's passionate defense of his veteran kicker could be heard during a press conference on November 5 in this video, which was posted to Twitter by sports anchor Mark Poulose of KCTV 5:

All signs indicate that Butker will continue to be Kansas City's kicker for the foreseeable future, but fans should expect Toub and the rest of the Chiefs' coaching staff to continue assessing the former Georgia Tech Yellow Jacket's performance ahead of their Week 9 tilt with the Jets on Sunday.
