Has beating European giants become the norm?

Cherries Unpicked co-host Joe Partington believes people should "stop being surprised" that Bournemouth are capable of beating European giants in a week where they have swept AC Milan and Manchester United aside.

Speaking to BBC Radio Solent, Partington said: "We've got to stop being surprised. This is the norm. This has become normality - getting big results against teams of the past that have got big CVs and long history lists and big trophy cabinets from years gone by. And now teams that are finding it difficult to live with the quality Bournemouth have got.

"How many players would Manchester United pick out of Bournemouth's side to get into their starting 11? Probably not many on paper, yet every single Bournemouth player was better than their opposite number by a million miles.

"Even on Thursday night, how many Bournemouth players would AC Milan pick out and put in their side? I'm not too sure, but they were better than AC Milan by a million miles.

"Now we are watching this Bournemouth side who have historically been known as a small side with a small fanbase topple giants. Oddly it has become normality and we're turning up to these games now expecting Bournemouth to perform and get something out of the game."
