Bruno Fernandes has appeared to make his feelings clear on social media after being dropped for Manchester United's match against Bournemouth on Sunday afternoon.
United's captain appeared to take a dig at Michael Carrick's tactics after the Red Devils' heavy defeat to Como in midweek.
Fernandes was substituted in the 67th minute of United's 4-1 defeat. After the match, Fernandes claimed that Carrick's pressing tactics gave Como confidence and space. He said:
"It’s a decision from the staff to not press man-to-man and sometimes leave space behind and try to get the ball by waiting for them. But sometimes, when you give space to these teams, they get confidence."
When asked if Carrick had got the tactics wrong, to which Bruno responded: "That’s on the manager and staff to see, not me. Sometimes you have to be more brave under pressure, take the risk of pressing high and making them uncomfortable."
Carrick punished Fernandes by naming him on the bench for United's clash against Bournemouth. The 32-year-old was an unused substitute as United fell to a heavy 3-0 defeat.
Rayan, Marcus Tavanier and Evanilson were all on the scoresheet as the Red Devils' winless run in all competitions extended to eight matches.
After the match, the Portuguese midfielder took to Instagram to like a reel posted by the account, Wealth.
The reel featured a clip of the animated short film, 'A Tale of Momentum & Inertia'. In the clip, a rock giant tries to save a small costal village from being destroyed by a large boulder. But, after the village attacks the giant with projectiles, the giant steps aside and lets the boulder destroy the village.
The title of the reel read: 'Never push a loyal person to the point where they no longer care.'

While the caption of the reel read: 'The person holding everything together is usually the one nobody thinks to check on.
⠀
'Every family, friend group, and team has one. The one who shows up no matter what. The one who listens, fixes, covers, and carries more than anyone realizes. They don’t complain about it. They just keep holding things up because that’s who they are.
⠀
'But loyal people get taken for granted faster than anyone. Their effort starts to feel automatic, and their patience gets mistaken for weakness. People push, take, and test them, assuming they’ll always stay.
⠀
'Until one day, they don’t. There’s no big fight or dramatic exit. They just quietly stop caring, stop trying, and let go. And everything they were holding up comes crashing down with them.
⠀
'Most people never realize how much weight someone was carrying until the day they finally let it fall.'
Fernandes' actions have not gone down well, with Manchester Evening News reporter Steven Railston among the individuals that have called him out.
Carrick was asked about Fernandes after the match. He told BBC Sport:
"He's fit and available but we decided to pick the team that we did today. Unfortunately for everyone we didn't manage to get the right result. We want to push forward and create more, we could've done certain things but not enough really and that's pretty clear."
United return to action on Saturday, October 31, when they travel to Chelsea. United are currently 16th in the Premier League and just one point above the relegation zone.
