The Kick Back scheme sees Harrogate Town partner with 28 local grassroots clubs, and raised £3,168.40 for these clubs last season.

The Kick Back Scheme is free to local grassroot football clubs and is all about bringing the local community closer together. Offering free tickets for every home league match, cashback opportunities, and unforgettable matchday experiences for local clubs, players, and their families.

Last year, the scheme, which is sponsored by Synergy Car Leasing, was nominated for the Grassroots Initiative of the Year at the 2025 Global Football Industry Awards. More than 1,000 free tickets were given to member clubs during the season, while the club visited more than 10 grassroot galas this summer, where Town mascot Harry Gator was on hand to present clubs with their cash back earnings. An inaugural Kick Back tournament was held at the Marcy Fitness Stadium this summer, giving 300 children the unforgettable opportunity to play on the club’s pitch.

Emily Elmes, at Harrogate Town AFC, said: “We're proud that the scheme continues to bring more young fans to Harrogate Town while giving back directly to grassroot clubs across our community.”

The club are running a dedicated Kick Back month during November, which will see giveaways, games, player meet and greets and more.

The Kick Back Scheme is a partnership between Harrogate Town AFC and local grassroots football teams with the aim to work alongside each other to make football matches at Harrogate Town AFC accessible, whilst giving clubs the incentive to earn 20% cashback from their additional ticket sales.

Harrogate Town welcomes Kick Back clubs to all home games - one of the ways they enhance the matchday experience for younger fans, which includes Mascot and Flagbearer experiences.

The scheme is completely free for clubs to sign up to, and comes with a range of benefits.
