Queen Camilla congratulated 24-year-old Winchester jockey Saffie Osborne at Ascot Racecourse after her groundbreaking Betfred St Leger win in September.
On Saturday, September 12, Osborne became the first female jockey to win one of Britain’s five Classic flat races.
She rode Joseph O’Brien-trained Highwayman to victory in the Group 1 St Leger in its 250th anniversary year.
Queen Camilla, a keen supporter of British horseracing, congratulated Osborne in the parade ring at Ascot's Qatar Racing British Champions Day.

The St Leger is one of Britain’s five Classics, alongside the 1,000 Guineas and 2,000 Guineas at Newmarket and the Oaks and Derby at Epsom.
No female jockey has won any of the other four Classics, underlining the scale of Osborne’s achievement.
Osborne, the daughter of trainer and former jockey Jamie Osborne, started in eventing before switching to racing.
She is also in the running for BBC Sports Personality of the Year, with her odds shortening after the win.
