Former Newcastle United forward Anthony Gordon was among the Barcelona players involved in an emergency first-team meeting with Hansi Flick and staff. The Blaugrana have made an attempt to steady the ship following back-to-back defeats against PSG and Real Madrid.
The El Clasico defeat to Jose Mourinho's side was the first blemish on Barca's impeccable La Liga record, winning all nine of their previous La Liga games this season.
However, the defeat to Madrid has stung Gordon and his teammates, which has prompted Barcelona stars to strengthen the team's resolve with a first-team meal.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona's players got together for a barbecue to bond as a team following two huge games in their calendar.
Rodri and Raphinha agreed that a first-team get-together was needed ahead of this weekend's clash with Alaves, though the club declined to comment when the Spanish outlet asked whether it was a result of the two defeats.
Barcelona have tough games against Aston Villa and Atletico Madrid on the horizon, and Flick prides himself on team unity, with Gordon settling in well in that regard.

Gordon has two goals and four assists to his name since joining Barcelona from Newcastle in a deal worth £69million, quickly establishing himself in a front three alongside Lamine Yamal and Raphinha.
Despite his strong start, the England international was subject to some ridicule from home supporters following the defeat to Real Madrid, though he was defended by the Spanish press.
"He played with his customary dynamism and spared no effort in the press," Mundo Deportivo wrote. "He challenged his direct opponent in every encounter and helped the team gain ground whenever he carried the ball. He was the most consistent player throughout the match.”
While Sport gave him a 6/10 rating and said: "He performed an unspectacular but important role, assisting (Joao) Cancelo defensively to curb the opposition’s attacking forays down that flank.
"In the second half, he had a few chances to score and make it 2-1, but he lacked the necessary quickness in his finishing."
