We're almost over the midway point and into the second half of the 2026 fantasy football season. There aren't too many matchups left before we get to the playoffs, which means the waiver wire is likely getting pretty barren. Still, there are always intriguing options week-to-week and we're here to provide a few choices that could help your lineups down the stretch.
We also have four teams on bye in Week 10 — the Bucs, Eagles, Broncos and Bears, potentially leaving you with some holes in your lineup. Let's dive in.
It's slim pickings in the waiver wire space coming out of the afternoon Week 9 window. There weren't too many notable performances for fantasy, but Waller was one of them, posting an 8-90-1 line against the Broncos. It feels like Bryce Young is forcing the ball to his tight ends while under pressure because of a weak offensive line.
The veteran right end led the Panthers in catches (8), targets (10) and receiving yards in Week 9's loss to Denver. While Tetairoa McMillan should command a heavy target share moving forward, Carolina should be in plenty of positive pass game scripts given the defensive woes. With four teams on bye in Week 10, Waller isn't a bad TE streaming option.
While there's still a chance RB Jonathan Taylor gets dealt, it appears he's going to remain on the team as the trade deadline looms on Nov. 10. Even if JT is still on the roster, Indy looks interested in getting McGowan more touches. The rookie has at least five touches in five of the past six games, and scored his first NFL touchdown on Sunday against the Cowboys.
In the event we get a Taylor trade, McGowan would get a huge boost in value. If Taylor isn't traded, McGowan has done enough to warrant touches as the change-of-pace back. Plus, the Colts have some soft matchups and could be playing a lot of garbage time if they're blown out. In those games, McGowan would have some flex value. Remember, running backs are tough to come by this late in the season.
Miami has been more competitive as of late, after we crowned the team the worst in the NFL going into 2026. While the Dolphins look better, they're still going to be trailing in most games. With that in mind, Douglas pops up again on this list as a useful add off the wire.
A few weeks ago we highlighted him after a 2-70-2 line against the Jets. While he was a disappointment last week, Douglas had a solid six catches on eight targets for 70 yards in Week 9's loss to Detroit. Even the No. 1 target on a bad offense is going to have some value week-to-week. Douglas has now had double-digit fantasy points in three of five games this season.
