Leicester City's FA Cup final hero Youri Tielemans was caught in the middle of a fall out after Manchester United's Champions League defeat to Atletico Madrid.
Tielemans moved to Old Trafford in the summer after United triggered his £35m release clause at Aston Villa. The midfielder was one of three reinforcements in midfield under Michael Carrick with Andrey Santos and Carlos Baleba brought in.
The ex-City man started the 2-0 loss in Spain on Tuesday night as United's poor run of results continued. However, the outcome in Madrid was clouded by Lisandro Martinez's stunning post-match interview, where he took aim at the club's board.
Speaking to Amazon Prime, the defender admitted he "expected more" investment in the squad over the summer, before suggesting that the blame for the poor start to the season lies with the club's decision-makers.
When Martinez's comments were put to Tielemans, he said: "I've got no comment on that.
“It’s very hard to say after a defeat there is positivity, we have spells in games where we play well but we can’t capitalise on our chances and it’s very hard to get back into the game, we just have to work hard to keep working to keep trusting our structure and from there we can move on.”

Martinez's comments have been slammed by Jamie Carragher, who claimed the defender should have kept his opinions to himself. “This doesn’t do anybody any good at all, and they (the quotes) will be the story now for the next few days, all about this,” Carragher began on CBS Sports.
“Every set of supporters don’t like the suits, the guys upstairs, so United fans will lap this up and think it’s great." He added: "The reason why they didn’t buy players in the summer is because the last four or five years since Martinez has been there, I think they’ve been in the Champions League once – this season."
