Another day, another Breiden Fehoko take that has led to a lot of reaction from NFL fans.

The former LA Chargers nose tackle retired last year and has since been sharing his analysis of the game on social media and his YouTube channel.

Very often, his takes are aimed at poor decisions from players and coaches. The 30-year-old’s most recent series of messages came after Thursday Night Football, where the Denver Broncos beat the Seattle Seahawks. Fehoko was disappointed with Bo Nix’s performance and called him out for his poor offensive display.

While his usual messages are based on NFL and CFB games, Fehoko’s most recent post was about putting himself out there, which led to a lot of reaction from fans.

Fans react to Breiden Fehoko’s claims of turning an organisation around

Since his retirement, Fehoko has focused on sharing analysis of the game and expressing his views online. But his recent message is an indication that the 2019 CFP champion has plans to get back into the game.

“I say this with no cockiness. I can turn an organization around and lead it to championships. I know what roster building looks like and how to put pieces together. I have a lot of knowledge to give the game. You’ll laugh at my statement, but ask those who’ve played with me or coached me. Nobody knows the game inside and out and can connect rooms more than I can,” Fehoko wrote.

Former players taking over front office roles and coaching is not something new in the NFL. However, fans were not convinced that Fehoko would be able to make the transition smoothly.

One fan said: “No cockiness just pure f****** delusion.” While another added: “If this were true, you would be doing that and not tweeting about it on social media.”

There were a few who asked Fehoko to act on his message.

“So leverage your connections and start as a position coach on the college level and work your way up?” wrote one X user. Someone also said: “So then get into scouting and work your way up. No way you’re being serious tweeting about being a GM and not taking some initiative. You don’t sound cocky you sound inept.”

An account holder on X opined: “We don’t need to ask. If the statement, “…ask those who’ve played with me or coached me. Nobody knows the game inside and out and can connect rooms more than I can” was remotely true we would have heard about it. Someone would have told us, you wouldn’t have to beg people to ask.”

Fehoko retired at the age of 29 because he got a “sense of fulfillment” from his career. Having won a national championship with LSU, there is no doubt that he was an elite talent, but coaching and front office work are different responsibilities. They both require different skills, and if Fehoko wants to get into an NFL franchise someday, his best bet is to listen to the fans who responded to his message and start looking at roles that will help build his experience to be part of an NFL team one day.
