The Golden State Warriors took care of business Thursday night against the Heat, outscoring Miami by 15 in the third quarter, cruising to a 20-point victory (120-100). The win marks Golden State's sixth in a row after beginning the year with three consecutive losses. During the contest, former two-time MVP award winner Stephen Curry scored 29 points on 6-for-12 shooting from 3-point range to go along with four assists and one rebound.
In doing so, the Davidson product passed Hall of Famer Oscar Robertson for the No. 17 spot on the NBA's all-time scoring list. Curry has now amassed 26,737 and is less than 250 points shy of the top-15. Only four active players rank ahead of Curry, including DeMar DeRozan, who is just ahead at the No. 16 position. LeBron James, Kevin Durant and James Harden are the other three.
Looking ahead, Curry and Golden State have Friday off before hosting the Orlando Magic Saturday for their fifth game of a six-game homestand.
