2 important Barcelona players are on the verge of returning to first-team action in time for the fixture against Real Betis.

Hansi Flick’s squad returned to the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper to complete recovery sessions after securing a 4-1 victory over Galatasaray in the UEFA Champions League.

With a demanding domestic trip to face Real Betis in Seville on the horizon, the coaching staff was handed a significant boost with two vital first-team starters taking part in full group preparations.

The essential first-team pair driving these return headlines as 2 key Barcelona stars set to return for the Real Betis clash are Brazilian forward Raphinha and Dutch midfielder Frenkie de Jong, as reported by Diario Sport.

Raphinha rejoined team drills on Thursday after progressing through individualized physical conditioning on the pitch, while De Jong continued building towards his potential season debut after working through group sessions over the past week.

Both players completed the full workload alongside their teammates, signaling their readiness to rejoin matchday operations.

From a tactical perspective, having both key operators available provides Flick with crucial tactical versatility across multiple positions.

Raphinha’s direct goal threat, pressing intensity, and leadership on the wing offer an essential dynamic in transition, while De Jong’s press resistance and tempo control reinforce Barcelona’s central midfield stability.

However, the medical team and coaching staff maintain a cautious outlook to avoid taking unnecessary risks with either player’s long-term health.

For Barcelona, welcoming back such influential figures comes at an ideal moment as the La Liga title race heats up.

Final decisions regarding their exact minutes and inclusion in the travelling squad will depend on Friday’s final training session and final medical green lights.

Should their recoveries continue without complication, supporters can expect both stars to feature in the matchday squad for the weekend showdown.
