After deciding late that he wanted a career in sports journalism, Daniel worked his way up the ladder in an unconventional manner.
Having opted against university, Daniel worked with Sky Sports as a freelance contributor and translator during transfer windows while also volunteering on several other blog pages and outlets to get a portfolio of content together.
Daniel then worked with Barnet FC as part of their social media team before starting his own website, which focused on football and MMA content.
That eventually led to work with 90min and Reach PLC with The Mirror, Daily Record, Daily Express, and Manchester Evening News.
Following that, Daniel spent two-and-a-half years with Breaking Media covering Everton, Rangers, Leeds, West Ham and other clubs before joining GiveMeSport as a Premier League editor.
As well as football, Daniel is a huge MMA fan and has appeared on YouTube and podcast content too.

Como and Manchester United will meet for the first time in their history in the Champions League on Wednesday evening.
Cesc Fabregas' side have won one and lost one of their two games in the competition so far this season, defeating RB Leipzig before falling to defeat against Feyenoord last week. Michael Carrick's team have the same record after defeating Sabah and losing to Atletico Madrid, but come into the game without a win in their last six in all competitions.
Both teams have some selection decisions to make ahead of the game, and this is how GIVEMESPORT expects the sides to line up.
Serie A outfit Como will be without star forward Assane Diao after he suffered a hamstring injury last week, but aside from that Cesc Fabregas will have a near full-strength team to choose from.
Trevoh Chalobah and Moise Keane will have late checks on their fitness, but could be available.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Fabregas shared an update on his squad ahead of the game.
"It’s a great match against one of the best and biggest teams in history. It’s a match to dream about, but we must try to do our best to try to win and pick up the three points.
"We slowly have to understand what it’s like to face the top sides, when you know that they’re better than you, but you still have to compete with what you have.
"Our inner strength and our mentality are what must make us strong and allow us to believe that we can do it.’
"They are a great team. Just three years ago, when we were in Serie B, it would have been unthinkable that Manchester United might come to the Sinigaglia [stadium] yet on Wednesday, that is exactly what will happen. For us, it's a dream come true; we'll take our chances.
"Jesus Rodriguez will have a long layoff. Today he took a shot on goal at the end of training and hurt himself. It doesn't look like a minor injury, but a bit more serious. Chalobah will be out for two weeks, so he'll miss four games. Let's see if Kean can make it for Saturday, Diao will be back after the break ."

Man Utd are facing an injury crisis in defence, with eight first-team players missing from training ahead of the game. Lisandro Martinez, Ayden Heaven, Luke Shaw, Patrick Dorgu, Kobbie Mainoo, Manuel Ugarte, Marcus Rashford, and Benjamin Sesko are all unlikely to be available as a result.
Leny Yoro is suspended following his red card against Atletico Madrid last week, while Bruno Fernandes is also carrying a knock but is expected to play.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Carrick shared an update on his squad ahead of the game.
"A mixed bag, to be honest. We have quite a few who are missing.
"Licha [Martinez] is not too bad but he is not with us. We will have to see if he's ready for the weekend or not.
"Kobbie [Mainoo], maybe 10 days or so but that's not exact. Luke [Shaw] is a little bit longer than that.
"Ayden [Heaven] is ill. Marcus [Rashford] is still feeling a little bit of a hip issue that we are trying to overcome.
“We are hoping soon that we will have a clear picture [on Sesko]. I am not trying to delay it.
“Hopefully next time we speak, maybe not tomorrow but by the end of the week we will have something a bit clearer. “There is a bit of work going on at the moment so we will see what comes out of that.”
Man Utd will be forced to name a makeshift starting lineup for the game, but £42m man Matthijs De Ligt could return to the pitch for the first time since November 2025 following back surgery. £96.5m duo Mason Mount and Joshua Zirkzee are also likely to be on the bench, while Matheus Cunha should return to the starting lineup.
