One elevation was expected. The other might mean bad news for safety Budda Baker.
The Arizona Cardinals face the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday and have announced some roster moves. In addition to activating safety Kitan Crawford from injured reserve, they elevated two players from the practice squad.
They elevated running back Evan Hull, a move that was expected, as rookie running back Jeremiyal Love has been ruled out of the game with an ankle injury. The second move was more surprising and suggests that perhaps safety Budda Baker, who is questionable to play with a groin injury, might not be able to go.
They elevated safety Jerrick Reed as well.
Hull will give the Cardinals three running backs against the Rams. Tyler Allgeier and Bam Knight will likely get the bulk of the offensive load, while Hull might see a few snaps and should also play on special teams.
Safeties Andrew Wingard (knee) and Wydett Williams (concussion) are out for the game. With Crawford returning, if Baker can't play, Crawford and Dadrion Taylor-Demerson will start at safety, and Reed could see action.
