Tyson Fury has asked US President Donald Trump to walk him to the ring for his fight with Anthony Joshua
Carl Froch believes US President Donald Trump walking Tyson Fury to the ring for his fight with Anthony Joshua would only add to the monumental showcase.
Fury and Joshua will trade leather in the early hours of December 12 at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff. With Netflix set to broadcast the all-British bout, the fight could start as late as 2am in a bid to satisfy US audiences. For a while, it looked as if the fight would land at Madison Square Garden in New York.
But Joshua refused and managed to bring the fight to the UK shores. Prior to the official announcement, Fury flew to Washington DC and managed to bump into Trump during his travels. The president had used his position to grant the 'Gypsy King' a visa after he had previously been banned from the country.
And Fury has since asked Trump to be a part of his ring walk later this year. "I'll definitely make that offer to my old buddy and we'll see if he's available," he said. "But it's probably unlikely because of the situation he's in at the moment, being the President of the United States."

And while Froch believes it's unlikely that'll come to fruition, he insists it would be huge for the event if Trump walks alongside Fury to the squared-circle. Speaking to BetVictor Online Casino, the boxing legend said: "I think it’s a massive move if Donald Trump walks Tyson Fury out. But the chances of it happening are f***ing slim to none.
"He’s such a busy man with a massive schedule. I know he loves UFC and he’s often seen at UFC events with Dana White, but that’s America. The cost, security-wise, would be massive. If he does come, it’ll be last minute and he’ll probably turn up without anybody knowing.
"But if it happens, I think it would be great. It would add to the event. The President of the United States coming to watch a f***ing boxing match in Cardiff and walking Tyson Fury to the ring? Yes, please. f***ing hell, I might even get his autograph."
After his unexpected appearance at the UFC Freedom 250 event at the White House in June - which was Fury's first visit to the US in five years - the Morecambe brawler revealed that UFC president Dana White and Trump were key in getting his ban overturned He told the Ring: "It all got done through Dana, on Donald Trump's table and Donald Trump just went, 'Bang, Tyson's a great guy, come on in!'"
