Think the Houston Texans and their fanbase are excited to have Tank Dell back?
The wide receiver made his return to NFL action against the New York Giants on Oct. 25. It was his first game in 673 days after dislocating his knee, tearing multiple ligaments and suffering meniscus damage in December 2024.
Now, Houston will celebrate him by labeling Oct. 29 “Nathaniel ‘Tank’ Dell Day” in the city, Mayor John Whitmire proclaimed. It's Dell's 27th birthday.
He spent all of last season rehabbing. In his 2026 debut, the 5-foot-10 speedster played 14 snaps, hauling in one pass for 43 yards.
“I’m blessed,” Dell told reporters earlier this week. “I felt blessed but not really a relief. I’m grateful for everything, but I’m a playmaker, man. I’m so used to making those plays. There’s so many more to come.”
The Daytona Beach native and Mainland High School alum was a third-round pick of the Texans out of the University of Houston in 2023. Through his first two professional seasons, he appeared in 25 games and posted 98 receptions for 1,376 yards and 10 touchdowns.
The Texans have this weekend off before facing the Los Angeles Chargers on Nov. 8.
