The Kansas City Chiefs were down a cornerback on their roster after he threw a punch during the team's win over the Los Angeles Chargers.
Chiefs defensive back Christian Roland-Wallace was ejected from the game on Sunday for his outburst against Chargers offensive tackle Alex Harkey.
Roland-Wallace was getting up after a play when Harkey allegedly pushed him into a Chiefs teammate. Other Chargers players were seen shoving him throughout the occasion.
Eventually, having had enough, Roland-Wallace punched Harkey's helmet after the whistle blew.
Roland-Wallace was assessed a 15-yard penalty for his outburst. But, Harkey's shove was deemed unnecessary roughness – leading to the penalties offsetting.
Then, despite initially not tossing him from the contest, officials announced that the NFL offices in New York intervened and disqualified him from the game.

Roland-Wallace, the third-year player out of USC, could face further punishment from the league – including a fine or a suspension.
Roland-Wallace left the game with four tackles, three of which were solo efforts.
The ejection ended up being of little consequence as the putrid Chargers offense turned the ball over on downs and did not score any points in the fourth quarter.
In fact, the Chargers only scored three points in the second half and went the entire game without scoring a touchdown.
Even when they ended up sitting a yard from pay-dirt, quarterback Justin Herbert couldn't get the Chargers into the end zone.
Herbert completed 22 of 37 passes for 204 yards and an interception – his eighth of the campaign.
Los Angeles fell to 0-6 on the season while the Chiefs moved to 5-0 and remain one of three teams to stay undefeated.
