Ian Poulter will be seeking out new challenges in 2027 after he announced that he will be leaving the league before the new season begins.

Poulter was one of the first names to jump ship from the PGA Tour in order to join LIV Golf in June 2022.

The Englishman has been ever present on LIV over the past four years, but he has never managed to win an event during his time with the league.

Ian Poulter, now 50, was the co-captain of Majesticks Golf Club, but his time with LIV Golf is now set to come to an end.

Poulter announced on Friday that he is ‘genuinely excited’ about the next chapter of his life, as he plans to spend more time with his family, continue to grow his YouTube channel and compete on various tours around the world.

But how has his four-year stint with LIV Golf affected his bank balance? The simple answer to that question is very positively indeed.

The amount of money Ian Poulter has earned since joining LIV Golf

Despite the European Ryder Cup legend’s failure to win a tournament during his time with LIV Golf, he has raked in a serious amount of cash over the past four years.

Poulter has earned an impressive $13,058,639 since joining LIV Golf from the PGA Tour in 2022.

That is a remarkable tally really, especially given the fact that his best finish on LIV Golf was a tie for 8th in Hong Kong in 2024.

In fact, that was the only top 10 finish the Englishman has ever recorded on LIV.

Now he will seemingly focus his time on playing in as many DP World Tour events as he possibly can, while competing in the senior majors.

At 50 years old, Ian Poulter is far from finished as a golfer, and it will be fascinating to see where his career goes from here after he announced his exit from LIV Golf.

It would be really interesting to know how Poulter really feels now about his time with LIV. When he looks back on the past four years of his golfing career, he may well regret leaving the PGA Tour.

On the other hand, he might look at the $13 million he has earned and feel as though he made the right decision regarding the fact that he has secured his family’s financial future for many generations to come.
