The Falcons activated cornerback A.J. Terrell to the active roster from injured reserve, the team announced Saturday.

Terrell injured his groin in Week 2.

He returned to practice this week, and now back on the 53-player roster, Terrell no longer carries an injury designation. He will play.

The Falcons also announced they placed offensive tackle Michael Jerrell (biceps) on injured reserve and signed defensive end Drake Jackson to the active roster. They elevated running back Khalil Herbert and linebacker Brian Asamoah from the practice squad for Sunday’s game against the 49ers.

They ruled out wide receiver Beaux Collins (hip) and offensive tackle Cameron Williams (ankle).

Defensive back Avieon Terrell, who was questionable with a hamstring injury, also now has an illness and remains questionable.
